Dr. Murphy completed his undergraduate degree and his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees at the University of Queensland Medical School in Australia, and his medical training from the University of Toronto Medical School in Toronto, Canada. Subsequently, he completed his internship at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada and his residency and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Toronto Western Hospital. He is Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, with additional certification in pacing and electrophysiology from the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. He also holds a license in nuclear cardiology. Dr. Murphy has been practicing cardiology since 1979. His current practice includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology as well as electrophysiology services.
